Preparation

  • Place the chicken breasts in the crock pot.
  • Pour the salsa over the chicken.
  • Add the black beans, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Gently stir to combine.

Cooking

  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and shreds easily.
  • Using two forks, shred the chicken in the pot, mixing it with the salsa and beans.

Serving
