Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease and flour a cake pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the peanut butter, sugar, brown sugar, and softened butter until smooth.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the peanut butter mixture, alternating with milk, starting and finishing with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Frosting and Serving

  • Once cooled, frost with your choice of creamy peanut butter or vanilla frosting.
