  • 1 cup sour cream Adds creaminess
  • 4 scallions green onions Chopped

Seasoning

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine prepared mashed potatoes, crispy bacon, chopped green onions, shredded cheddar cheese, butter, and sour cream. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Transfer the combined mixture into a greased casserole dish, spreading it evenly.
  • Top the casserole with additional shredded cheddar cheese.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.

Serving

  • Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For best results, use thoroughly cooked bacon. Optional add-ins include garlic powder or ranch seasoning. This dish can be prepared a day in advance and stored in the fridge before baking.
